Saint Clair Shores Lakeview Basketball Fundraiser supported FWSF with 100% Proceeds
January 25th, 2013
Saint Clair Shores Lakeview is having a basketball fundraiser to benefit the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund. Lakeview will be playing their rival, Saint Clair Shores Lakeshore across six games, using two gyms. Organized by basketball coach John Carr, who served in the Navy, all proceeds from the event (gate, concessions, and t-shirt sales) will go to benefit the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.
Special t-shirts for the game will be available for purchase.
Final game of the evening will begin between 7 and 7:30 pm. Attending will be two veterans that FWSF has assisted, as well as Lynn Phillips, a board member of the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.
FWSF, a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization, is committed to stewardship of the monies entrusted to us by donations to provide supplemental assistance to the military and their families with assistance that helps with immediate financial needs. The FWSF has consistently maintained a 90% or higher giving rate. FWSF Board of Directors and FWSF Committee members donate their time without expenses or monetary compensation.
